For several decades, the hotel has welcomed its guests as a perfect starting point to explore one of Switzerland’s most impressive regions.

Since 2005, it pays tribute to the famous explorer, the Baron Jean-Baptiste Tavernier (1605 – 1689), who spent his last years in Switzerland on Lake Geneva, after having travelled around the world.


Wonderfully located in the vineyards, a real getaway from the city, the hotel is conveniently situated by a short footwalk to the village centre with all commodities and the train station. Regular train connections to Lausanne and Vevey.

Within two minutes you reach the highway to reach the cities & attractions within:

  • Bern – 50 min
  • Zurich – 2h 30 min
  • Sion – 55 min

Attention please

Due to the decisions of the Federal Council of 08.09.2021, from Monday 13 September onwards the presentation of the health pass will be mandatory for breakfast/lunch/dinner in the restaurant, for the SPA and wellness area, for the Wine Tasting Bar (inside) and for the conference rooms. Please present your health pass with an ID. There is no obligation to present the pass to access the outdoor Lounge Bar of the Deck, to walk in the hotel and for the people under 16 years old.
